Weekend Activities Fall 2009

We started off this morning at the market picking up some goodies and fresh flowers.
We danced to an Irish violin player...
and visited with our friend Ansley from Songbird Soaps.
Then we headed over to the folk music festival. It was so much fun.

We danced to kids folk songs...

made shakers out of a stick, bottle caps, and feathers...

Wren spent 30 minutes talking to the bee man about bees. This is an active hive that he actually keeps inside his house!!! He has a tube that connects the hive to the outside so they can get in and out. It was very cool and we could see the queen and the workers and best of all the honey. Wren and River took a taste test and it was good.

There were many other crafters there including a lady spinning wool, quilters, basket weavers, broom makers, glass blowers and more. The kids didn't want to leave.

looks cool!
GWiz used to have a beehive like that - you could see the queen and everything and it let them out in the garden. I wish they'd keep it because that was always the highlight!

Your kids have grown and we weren't there to see it :(
Nicole and Michael talk about them a lot!
