The summer always goes by so quickly for me...maybe because we are always out doing things and then next thing you know it is bed time again. We had our family in town this past week and it is always so nice to have Nanna and Papa come and we even had an extra treat with Unka T, which by the way celebrated his 29th birthday! I am no good without looking at my calender to remember things. Between Ryn's Swim school , teaching Bradley Method childbirth classes, teaching cloth diapering classes, friend lunch dates...summer is super busy and to top it off we are thinking about buying this house we found on Rose St.

It comes with a nicely overgrown Kent MANGO tree. You can see it there in the front yard. We love mangoes and this is so special. Ryn is already ready to eat the ones that we have plucked from the tree BUT they are not ripe yet. The houses here are so different than the houses we are used to so it took us a while to realize that and final get serious on house hunting. But I think this is the one because it would make me sad if someone else bought it. Another cool thing about this house is that it already comes with a boys and girls bathroom.

You have to love this feature about the mid 60's style houses. At least we know the bathroom fixtures are of quality and last. Now only to choose which one I want. They both have so much potential with color choices.
We had a great 4th of July and went to the Marina Jacks for the fireworks. This was River's first year really old enough to enjoy the fireworks and he was not scared much at all and even sat in the chair by himself a few times. Ryn on the other hand wanted me to keep my hands over her ears. A couple of weeks ago we made red, blue & white tie dye shirts so we are sported them for the 4th! (yes it looked a bit cheesy but we embraced it as a family). Jason and I had red hearts with blue around, River had a blue swirl and Ryn had a red and blue swirl. It was fun.
