Ryn did get to experience a bit of Autum. You now I never realized how hard it might be to teach seasons to a 3 year year old if we never experience them. I am glad she saw the leaves chage colors and fall.

Ryn also got to catch up with her good friend Katahdin who is also 3 and a half. They were such good friends 2 years ago and we are trying to keep that friendship going even though we live states apart. There is nothing like good friends. I hope everyone gets to feel the love of a good friend in there life time. We have moved a lot and we have made really good friends in every town that we have lived.
Next back to Nanna and Papa's house to visit more with them. River came up with the very interesting game with the fish net and a ball.
I told him there was a real game called lacrosse but he still insists that this will be the new fad in sports. He would go missing and I would look outside and he had it going. He would scoop up the ball then toss it out and watch it roll and then run go get it and do it all over again. How nice it would be to be thrilled with just a ball and a net.The kids also got to fish for the first time. This was great and since Ryn is so into animals these days she wanted to pet the fish.

The last bit of our trip was back to Athens, GA to stay with another good friend there (Ansley with Songbird Soaps). We had a great hike with the kids to the Botanical Gardens and spent some time in the jungle.
while we were on our hike we found a snake skin to take back and show our friends and family.
To get us back to our car we had to walk down a lonely dirt road so long that Ryn finally started saying her feet were hurting.and on the ride back home we bumped into some turkeys that had jumped the fence. The are obviously domesticated because we were able to get very close. They were so cute and perfect for the season and her animal infatuation. There call was so cute, when one began to gobble the other chimed in with the other (www.youtube.com/watch?v=FVPMqo5hKf8).
Also while in Athens, we saw many more firends and pretty much our days were pack from sun up to sun down and with no napping. Before we left we stopped by Bear Hollow and saw some animals. On Sunday from 1-4pm they bring some of the owls out of their cages to socialize and since Ryn LOVES birds and owls then this was a treat. We just followed them around as they walked the park.
This was a nice break from the heat of Florida and even more remids me how we want a little more cooler weather in our lives.
