Lately, Wren has been so very much into bugs and birds. During her pretend play she likes to be a bird and while playing with toys she always picks the birds. This has been a favorite animal of hers for almost a year now and since her 4th birthday is coming up a short couple of days then daddy and I have been thinking about getting her a parakeet. Yes, I know that I will mainly be taking care of this animal but since the Kaiser then dog had to leave (due to River's allergy) we have the need for a pet. We already have 2 hermit crabs but this bird addition would really compliment Wren's love for birds now. She even painted a bird house and has hung it up on a tree limb for a bird to come nest in.
Her other favorite thing to do is look for bugs and worms. Whether at home or at the park she is always looking for the small things that fly or crawl. Today she found an inch worm and we learned that they release a web like substance from the back side.
And of Course River is along for the ride for now. He is interested in whatever big sister is into. Usually with all grins and interest.
And for those who do not already know...we are having a baby in mid October!
