Staying Busy

we have been spending much time away from daddy because he has been in school full time Monday thru Friday. To fill our days with activities we spend time with friends, craft, read, garden, ride horses and really anything to stay active and out of the house. This is getting challenging for me as I approach the 38th week of this pregnancy. Ealier this week we went to our friend's house outside of Athens and Wren had some girl time with a few her age. She has not really found a replacement for her BF in Sarasota (Nicole) and I think that her a Maggie hit it off. At least Wren talked about how she really enjoyed playing with her. These friends live on a farm with chickens and lots of homeschool kids are around. This was one of the craft projects for the month. A rag doll that the moms had just as much making as did the kids. All we used was a wooden ball head with 1.5 inch strips of muslin about 2 ft long, some calico fabric in strips a little bit shorter, rubber bands and hot glue. After preping the craft it really only took about 20 min to make. Wren is not big into dolls right now but says she wants to give it to her sister (if thats what we have). We made a boy one for River and just split the bottom to make legs and put overalls on his top half (so cute too). Another great past time here is letting our hermit crab out and climb up the back porch screen. Wren and River get a kick out of him crawling so high and they wanted me to capture this event on camera.
